About the Great White Shark Cage Diving & Surface Viewing:
On arrival in Gansbaai, breakfast / lunch will be served, the crew will then provide you with an essential safety briefing before you embark on your Great White Shark Cage Diving Adventure.
A short 10 - 15 minute boat ride will take you to the Shark Alley. Once the crew has found a suitable place to anchor they will begin chumming the waters with fish based products.
You will spend approximately 2 - 3 hours out at sea with the Great White Sharks, shark cage diving and surface veiwing depending on sea conditions and shark activity.
On seeing the first Great White Shark you will kit up and enter the cage to go shark cage diving. For those of you who are a bit apprehensive about doing the shark cage dive, rest assured the surface viewing is just as spectacular and offers fantastic photo opportunities. Great White Sharks are surface feeders so majority of the action takes place at the surface.
If however, you feel on the day that the shark cage dive is not as daunting as you had originally anticipated you are more than welcome to change your mind and go in the cage. Each individual gets around 15 - 20 minutes in the cage but it could be longer as not everyone wants to do the cage dive. Subsequent dives are then rotated amongst divers who wish to go again.
On your return to shore you are invited to enjoy a light meal while you watch the DVD footage taken of the day, available for purchase.

Please Note: Itinerary times are a mere guideline only and may be subject to change to allow for sea / tidal conditions and the number of trips run on a day.
If you have decided to drive, you will be notified of your confirmed meeting (after 2pm) the day before the activity takes place, once the final sea / tidal and weather checks have been carried out and the boat schedules have been finalised. Directions, where you need to meet and what you need to bring along with you will be sent via email.
If you have booked a transfer, you will be notified of your collection time (after 2pm) the day before the activity takes place. Collection times can be between 2.5 - 3 hours prior to a confirmed meeting time depending on where in central Cape Town you are being collected from.

Booking Conditions:
All bookings should be booked at least (1 - 2 weeks in advance during the period of 15th December - 10th January) or 72 hours in advance (11th January - 14th December) to secure your space on this activity and avoid any disappointment. Any bookings received after 5pm the day before the tour is to take place may not be guaranteed.
a minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required to confirm the Shark Cage Diving and Helicopter transfer.
We require a minimum of 2 passengers to run the Shark Cage Diving and Helicopter Transfer.
On-line Payments:
Bookings made on-line using a valid credit / debit card will not incur any additional booking or credit card fees. International bank charges may apply for international card transactions.
All on-line credit card / debit card payments are made through Paygate and go through a 3D Secure Visa Verified or Mastercard SecureCode security protocol
Paygate is SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certified and (PCI Payment Card Industry) compliant.
Bookings secured by Credit Card:
Bookings secured by credit card allows the client to pay either in cash or by card on the day. Note no payment will be taken from the card.
Should the client choose to pay by credit card on the day (a 3.5% credit card fee may apply depending on the supplier).
In the event of a "no-show" or if less than the stipulated number of clients booked on the activity do not show up for the activity, the client hereby agrees and irrevocably consents to allow crocdiving.com to charge the client's card with a 100% cancellation fee.
We regret that we cannot accept credit card details to secure the Shark Cage Diving and Helicopter Transfer. Payment will need to be made on-line and in full in advance of the trip taking place.
Cancellation Policy:
- 24 hours prior to the activity date, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
- "No-shows" or if less than the stipulated number of clients booked on the activity do not show up for the activity, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
- 48 - 72 hours prior to the activity date, a 55% cancellation fee will apply.
- 5 days prior to the activity date, a 15% cancellation fee will apply.
- A 4% credit card fee plus a 2% administration fee will apply on all credit card refunds where no additional cancellation fee is applicable.
Should the activity be cancelled by crocdiving.com for any reason and we are unable to reschedule you, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Inclement Weather / Sea Conditions:
Thorough weather / sea condition checks are done on a daily basis and clients will be informed accordingly. If strong winds pick up whilst out at sea and a return to shore is required for the safety of passengers and crew, no refund is applicable.
Diving may not always be possible and is therefore not guaranteed, should variable sea / weather conditions not allow for the cage diving to take place for the safety of passengers, no refund is applicable.
Non-Sightings:
Please note, we are dealing with wild animals, even though there is a very high chance of seeing Great White Sharks, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Refunds are therefore not considered in the event of non-sightings, however, a voucher to go again is offered free of charge.
Transportation:
Clients who have booked a transfer must be ready at least 15 minutes prior to collection. Actual meeting / collection times will be provided after 2pm, 1 day prior to the activity taking place, once the final sea / tidal & weather checks have been carried out and the boat schedules have been finalised.
Any activity that provides a transport element and the transport is utilised either in full or in part will result in a non-refundable transportation fee.
In the event a client misses or fails to show up for their transfer, the client will forfeit any payment received for that tour, no refund is applicable.
Maximum weight per seat in the Robinson R44 is 120kg and / or an average of 90kg acrosse the 3 seats or pilot's discretion.
Maximum weight per seat in the Bell 206 Jet Ranger is 140kg and / or an average of 85kg acrosse the 4 seats or pilot's discretion.
Maximum weight per seat in the Bell 206 Long Ranger is 140kg and / or an average of 75kg acrosse the 6 seats or pilot's discretion.
A surcharge may be levied if a lcient needs to upgrade to a larger helicopter due to weight restrictions.
Child Policy:
Due to safety reasons, we regret that we cannot accept children under the age of 5 years old on board the boat. Children 10 years or older may enter the cage provided they are in the cage with parental supervision.
Any unaccompanied minor (under 18 years of age) requires an indemnity to be signed by a parent/legal guardian prior to embarking on the activity.
Photographic Material:
crocdiging.com or it's suppliers approved photographer / videographer will be entitled to take photographs, films and videos (including electronic format) of the client during their activity, and may use such photographic, film and video material for the purpose of any advertising or brochure productions, which the client irrevocably gives his consent thereto, and without any consideration being payable to the client.
General:
Time spent on the activity will be approx. 2 - 3 hours depending on sea conditions and shark activity. Itineraries / meeting / collection times are dependent on tides, weather and sea conditions and the number of trips run on a particular day. Exact meeting / collection times are therefore only available after 14h00 the day prior to the activity taking place, and may vary daily.
Liability:
All clients are required to sign an indemnity form prior to the activity thereby acknowledging that the activity is undertaken at own risk.
